Yes, you read it right.
One of my "rarest of the rare" collection had a bum wing last week but eats and drinks well. Lays on it's bad wing for some reason and basically steps on it every time it gets up.
Well last night I checked their water and found a complete wing
Looked around and sure enough, pulled off at the joint. Unreal....
So I put it in the hospital (rabbit cage) because I didn't want anyone to get a taste of the red flesh that was exposed. I put some ointment on the wound, filled the waterer with vitamin/electrolytes and one tablet of aspirin (my wife's idea but made sence to me. If I lost a limb, I would ask for something alot stronger though).
I think I know the answer to this but is there any good life for a chicken in this kind of shape? I do think he/she is in pain or discomfort but is still eating and drinking. Maybe I should just put him/her out of their misery??
