I just got to an 8 week old Polish and an 8 week old sultan they are going to be living in the house .Gigi thea Sultan does great with her diaper but poorthe Effie the polish on the other hand not so much. I have tried sox diapers and that diaper that the Sultan is in
Everything I put on her either makes her fall down or tip over and then she lays there like she's dead. does anyone have any ideas of what I can do their body type is pretty much the same same though the Polish is legs ae a bit thinner . Does anyone have any advice?

Oh but they are being chickens they just come in at night .Thanks for the really helpful advice .Nice

Cats do the same thing if you put clothes on them....

I would just get a rabbit hutch or something for them to sleep in at night. Something with a nice roost.

Not every chicken is going to adapt to diaper wearing.

If you really want them to wear the diaper, you will just have to keep with it, but really... there's other ways to keep them indoors at night.

Good ideas she was a litlle steadier but a rabbit hutch sounds like a great idea

You could try a pet taxi. I have also used my wired dog crate. I just slide a stick thru the bars for an instant perch. I also like that the plastic pan just pulls out for easy cleaning. My Polish hens wouldn't have ever acclimated to wearing a diaper. They had trouble finding the pop up door.

Love my Polish crested hens.

They can potty train if you have the time. I did it accidentally when one was sick. We were holding her a lot on a towel. When she walked around a little and poo'd. I wiped it with the same towel. She decided that is the potty place and would go out of her way to use the towel. You could then move the towel to a litter box and eventually remove the towel.

She was about 50% after a week. And by the second week there were only one or two doodles a day to clean up. She is a silkie but I've done it with a few others as well. Everyone is happily outside now.
