8 week old pullet or roo???

I'm not sure on this 8 week old EE! I ordered 6 pullets and this one was placed in the butcher pen with the white rocks. Somedays I just dont know what to think. I ordered 6 EE pullets and this ones comb turned red and the others didnt so we assumed it was a cockeral.. I would love to save it from the butcher pen but i dont have but a couple of weeks. What do you think? pullet or roo

I'm guessing roo. My Ee's didn't have red in their combs until much closer to laying. Also, that's a very striking feather pattern.!!

Thank you. I was thinking the same thing, i just didnt want to admit it. Wonder if he would be good eatin', what a bummer.

It's a roo - you could probably advertise it on craigslist and find it a home, if you really want to save it from being butchered. EE roos are pretty popular.

I would say roo as well. My two EEs are almost 8wks and their combs are barely visible and not red.

besides see the saddle feathers by the tail (1st pic) and how they are starting to curl to the side like a roo? beautiful bird...........dang!
