What gender are these birds? I posted them on here awhile ago but maybe we can tell now.
They are 8 week old Silver Laced Wyandottes

Think despite the red on heads they may all be hens, save maybe the first one !!?? I have 10 in the garage same age so it will be intersting to see what the pros say???

I was guessing on my SLW's until I was getting eggs. They are seriously hard to tell. I would have to say that #3 & #6 look suspicious. Oh, and #1 too! Sorry. I'd wait a bit longer and see.

Too much red on them to be pullets at this age. Pullets don't redden up until it's laying time and 8 wks is far to young for them to be red. Unless their roos.

Have had SLW before and they were red early on and it wasn't til way later I could really tell. Like when one layed and the other crowed !!

And I"ve read on here SLW are really hard to tell apart at this age and that their legs( thickness) are a bigger clue than red on the head ??? !

I think 1, 3, and 6 are roos. I can't really see the comb well on #4 but would guess that may be a roo too based on the development of the wattles.
