So far so good.I got yelled at for not handleing her enough because she was kinda jumpy when he picked her up but that was the only thing he said.Thank goodness it worked

So he thinks the new bird is his original bird? You didn't tell him the truth about what had happened?

I didnt have the heart to tell him. The poor kid has experienced to much death in his 8 years. He lost a pony,a cat,a dog all on xmas eve different years. His friend died last year as well as a friend of mine who he was close with and his baby goat died in may. He didnt want to go to camp because he was afraid something would happen to his chick and because of my stupidity it did.I figured a little white lie wouldnt hurt and would save him some pain

Hope that you son will love the new one as well as he did the last one. There is first love and it sounds as if that was his very first love.I'm sure with time he'll grow tho love this one as he did the last one.
