I started a thread earlier about a polish and easter egger I thought were roosters. With the responses I am now confused about two of my other birds that I thought were hens. I figured since these are different birds I should start a new thread but if I should have continued the other let me know.

So here are three photos of my white crested black polish. I was convinced pullet, but now the small waddles are making me think I am wrong as my buff laced (who I thought was a rooster) has no waddles at all.

Then there is my wyandotte. I have been thinking hen despite the comb and wattles because it has been very slow to turn pink/red. The comb developed early, waddles more recent but the comb still has not turned completely. Am I right with hen or was that wishful thinking? [The EE behind the wyandotte in the 2nd photo I believe a pullet too]

Rounded head feathers on the polish say hen... pointy ones say roo... what do yours have? I can't really tell by the photos.

I think the silver laced wyandotte is a roo. I have a SLW who is now 12 weeks old and doesn't have a comb/wattles that big and red, in fact, her comb is still as flat as it can be and pale. Also, mine got lacing right away, wheareas yours doesn't have the distinct lacing already, which leads me to think roo, as the lacing is distincly different between a rooster and hen. I'll email you a picture of what my silver laced wyandotte pullet looks like

Here is a close-up of the polish:

I think the head feathers are sorta roundish. The tail feathers are very round but I guess thats not really relevant.

I read somewhere Wyandotte hens develop combs and waddles early compared with many other breeds, is this not the case? Does that lead my towards rooster?

With the help of all on here-I figured out I have 1 roo polish and 2 pullets-The roo at 8 weeks had the pointy feathers and starting red waddles-yours does not-that is def a girl-now 3 weeks later Im totally sure about my 3-the roo is def red in the face while the others have nothing-you got 2 pullets..yeah

The polish looks like a girl to me based on my polish hen. Don't know about the other one. It's tough trying to figure out. I'm currently trying to figure out what my silkies are. They confuse you. Your chickens are pretty though.
