8 weeks old Black Copper Marans Cockerel or Pullet?

What’s your guess, Cockerel or pullet? I don’t have another Marans to compare this one to but the comb is much bigger than my 2 old week old Swedish Flower Hens combs and this one has red wattles coming in and the other two don’t. I can’t tell what’s happening with the saddle feathers yet. Thoughts?

Not sure about it but compared to my two French copper marans, also eight weeks old. I’m thinking both of mine must be male( I know one is)
Yours looks more like a girl to me. Mine have much larger combs and redder also larger wattles also red.
You’ll have to let us know how it turns out.
Oh and English marans have clean legs French have feathered.
But it is known for feathered leg chicks to lose the feathering as they mature.
