My 8 year old EE, Cookie, laid her first egg in about a year and a half! I saw her in the nest box this morning, and was pleasantly suprised with a small blue-green egg this morning.
She was my very first chicken, and I am just so glad she is still doing well. My RIR, Rosie laid her first egg too after being attacked by our dog. We weren't too sure she was going to make it, but she pulled through. Here are some pics of their eggs along with some bantam and duck eggs. (I really need an updated pic of cookie)!
