I have 2 Dark Brahma Roosters that I bought in late April 2025, one of them (Luigi) is fully feathered and gorgeous. The 2nd one (Mario) is bigger, taller, but without his rooster plumage 🫣 he still has his "teenager" weathering but no rooster plumage.
Mario is the friendlier one and the one I would like to keep, but im a little concerned that his plumage isnt in yet. I know Brahma's mature later, but theyre about 8 months old already so I woulda thought since one has his plumage feathers already, they both would.

Any reason why this would be? I dont want to end up keeping Mario if hes going to pass festher issues onto any future chicks.

He's beautiful!

If you could wait just another few weeks to a month, I'm sure Mario's feathers will come in. Luigi was just a faster bloomer is all.

If they are siblings, each could possess the same traits of the other, so even if you kept Luigi, some of his offspring could be fast developers and some slower ones.
