8wk old pullet in with the big girls.

I need to move my BR out of the banty pen, she's mashing the 4 wk old babies. I have cordoned off a section of the layers run so they can get used to each other beofre they come in full contact. How long to keep her separated before taking down the fence?

Also she's going ot have to go on layer chow, there's no way to feed her separately. How much of a problem with this be for her?

I would keep her separated from them for a few more weeks. They could kill her in a heart beat. Let her mature some. If the layer feed has calcium in it, it will not be good for her kidneys. Can you get flock feeder and feed calcium in a separate dish for the big girls?
