Starting fresh with new flock, coop and run. Still a newbie. Raised a flock of 6 last year but then moved and couldn’t bring with. Didn’t really have them long enough to determine what I did or didn’t like about my set up. So this is the new idea for 11 pullets currently in brooder. Standards chickens. Multiple breeds. Attached 8x18 covered run. Will free range unless inclement weather or out of town for a weekend.
I’m no artist but this a to-scale (ish) floor layout. Thoughts?

I built an 8x8 coop last year! It looks very similar to this layout, only I don't have a ramp. Also, I made 4 PVC system feeders with a 45 at the bottom and attached them to the wall.

What waterer type are you using? And do you have any windows in the coop?

The poop board is a really good idea!! I will have to implement that later this year!

Feeder/waterer ideas are still up in the air. Less mess with more floor space would be ideal. I like the pvc feeders I've seen so that is definitely an option. And YES lots of windows for natural light and ventilation are planned. will also have ventilation up. top

The only thing I see is that they don’t need a ramp to get up to the roost unles you have silkies. Remember 4sqft in the coop and 10sqft In The run.

That really depends on the chickens. I had to clip the wings of my entire flock to keep them inside their electrified pen as they kept getting out and one was eventually attacked and killed by the neighbors GSD. Five of my 11 chickens need the ramp to get up to the roosts.
Some heavier breeds also cannot make a 3' jump.
I would leave the ramp in.
If the OP can move the food and water under the boards, that would be preferable so the chickens have a larger landing area when coming off the roosts as they will not take the ramp down. They will jump down.

I like it.
I am working on my shed to coop conversion and it has a very similar layout. I'll include some pictures. I really like the horizontal nipple waterer. The water stays clean and it's easy to heat with a thermostatically controlled bird bath heater or small aquarium heater in the winter. My chickens had been drinking out of a heated dog bowl up until the move on Easter Sunday. They walked into the new coop, went over to the waterer and immediately started to drink. No problems having to "train" them.

That's funny, I had feed/water under board to start and then moved them bc I came up with the "infirmary" idea. but if I need to separate can just cross that bridge when I get there.
