9 chickens killed. One predator DEAD !

I lost 9 free ranging chickens in one afternoon Thursday and killed that son of B racoon responsible today ! Caught him in the act of trying to get more of my chickens.

In my book the only good raccoon is a dead one!

So anyway my black lab goes nuts today so my wife went out to see what was going on and the coon was chasing, literally chasing a barred rock around the yard.

good! if i ever lost chickens to a coon id hunt it down and when i caught id let the chickens eat it! WHOS EATING WHO hehehe...

Im sorry about you chickens. this year was a bad year foor raccoons with me also. I lost 6 chickens so far, plus countless baby chicks from darn rats. I have been putting out rat traps and poison, and so far caught 7. 3 adults and 4 young rats. I will keep setting them out until the rats are gone. Im tired of losing my chicks.
