The final baby, #8, hatched this morning! My broody’s chick also hatched out today...perfect timing🙂 So I am slowly introducing my incubator chicks to her, and she has readily accepted 4 of them. My goal is to get them all out there by the end of the day. I guess my question is, since the hen is still in the high nesting box, should I encourage her to move into a box on the ground? Also, I know it is in her nature to be able to care for them, but is there any role for me to play once she accepts them?

I think your do good is it like a box with a floor going from the box like this or different

We have an old dog house in the coop that my chickens used when they were chicks. Maybe I’ll try to move her there.
