Up for auction are 9+ (likely 3 extra) crested cream legbar hatching eggs from the first imported line from Greenfire Farms. These girls started laying at 19-20 weeks and have been laying pretty much daily since. The eggs are beautiful blue. Some people have had more of a green tint to them, but those eggs are all blue.

This pen has a roo over 4 hens. They are all from Greenfire's first "production line" of cream legbars and started laying at 19-20 weeks. Eggs were small at first but have grown quickly to being classified as medium to large eggs. The girls are 6 months old now and have been laying for over 5 weeks. The pictures above are all of my chickens and the actual eggs. In the egg photo are from top for comparison, a Faverolle, Blue Copper Maran, Swedish Flower hen, and pullet egg.

In addition to laying beautiful blue eggs, and being an early layer, the crested cream legbar is an autosexing breed, meaning you can determine sex of the chick at birth. Males have a white spot on their head and females have chipmunk stripes down their back.

The legbars are also excellent foragers and I have noticed my roo calling his girls over when he finds them food. He is also quick to sound the alarm when hawks are flying overhead. It's fun to watch him protect his flock.

Payment is via Paypal. Eggs will ship Expedited shipping (USPS Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box containing eggs and placed into a Large Flat rate box for another barrier) to only the lower 48 states. Shipping is included in the price!

I cannot guarantee hatch rate or the handling of the USPS but fertility has been 100%. I will guarantee well packaged, in tact, eggs upon arrival but no other offers to refund/replace purchases for conditions outside my control.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

I have the following shipping dates available:
October 1st--SOLD

October 8th- SOLD

Additionally, if you would like to add to this order so you can get as many eggs in the box as is possible (that's always what I want to do anyway...), I also have the following hatching eggs available. I can ship 24 eggs per box:
Swedish Flower Hens: $4/each (limit 4) due to multiple broodies
Silver Spangled Hamburgs: $3/each (limit 4)
Sizzles: $3/each (limit 4) (smooth sizzle roo over silkie hen)
Easter eggers: $2/each
Salmon Faverolles: $4/each (limit 4)

If you read through the cream legbar thread, you will learn a lot more about it. they have imported three separate bloodlines with emphasis on achieving all the best features of the breed. The first line was known for it's laying ability but tended the have large and sometimes floppy combs in the males. so, they imported another line with smaller and straighter combs, among other desirable features. Perhaps all the lines will lay early and well, I was just impressed with how early and consistent my girls thane been, and I know that they are from the first line. Though my roo is also from the first line, his comb is straight and erect, but others have had trouble with the roos combs flopping over. There may also be more info about the different lines on GFFs website but I'm not sure.

here are some pictures of the easter eggers that are currently laying. I should have some blue ameracaunas laying soon, but won't have eggs for likely another 4 weeks until they get bigger and I test hatch:

Hello, I was wondering if you were open to local(ish) pick up of the eggs and, if so, how that would affect the price. Thanks!
