9 Month Old Broody Silkie?

Pumpkin keeps going broody on and off. The entire day today she's been doing the broody cluck and whenever you touch her or go near her she fluffs up and does that trill sound. It's like she thinks she's sitting on eggs, but she's really not.

Oh she is going to any day now! Mine do that a few days before sitting full on. :D

Do you have fertile eggs to give her?

I know! But I would miss her if she was sitting on eggs for 3 weeks.

That bird gets a lot of attention.

Bring her inside! I did for my cochin hen Janet. :gig - that was in February, and it was way too cold for her to be sitting (IMO) -

Of course make sure she poops OUTSIDE, because honestly, that smell is hard to forget.

I'm prettysure Pumpin slepton the eggs last night! Now she's broody more often than not.

Here is a quick video of her. aoxa, we did end up bringing her and her 2 sisters inside becuse it's been so darn hot outside. If you look to the left at the end of the video you can se Ebony being her usual "peck-and-miss" self.
