9 out of 11!! first hatch

First attempt at hatching chickens with the tractor supply incubator i got for x-mas. 9 out of 11 with some eggs i found in the girl-friends parents farm, not sure what they are (deff some ee's judgeing by the green eggs). Have to admit that she did all the work since im stuck in Michagan because of work

, and all the peeping is driving her nuts

Yay congrats on the new Chicks what ever they end up being. Baby chicks are great. Hope you have an indoor brooder!

4x8 brooder in the basement(didnt feel like cutting up the sheet of ply-wood

) It surprised me the hatch rate was that good because we wernt sure how old the eggs were, but there all eating, drinking and pooping so all is well

. Now i gatta get power to my coop cause they cant stay in the basement forever, and theyll need some heat when there old enough to go out there im sure -23 at home last night.
