9 week old chicks not going in at night with others

All of our chickens free range. We recently integrated our chicks in with the rest of our flock, its been about a week now but the chicks still fly up to the top of our run at night instead of going inside the coop with the others and they are not safe there. How do we train them to go in with the others?

We recently integrated our chicks in with the rest of our flock, its been about a week now but the chicks still fly up to the top of our run at night instead of going inside the coop with the others and they are not safe there. How do we train them to go in with the others?

This has happened to me before. My chickens were trying to establish a pecking order and my older hen kept kicking them out. I just had to put them back in every night until they learned. They eventually stopped, but it did take a week and then every now and then it would happen again.
