My chicks are 9 weeks old tomorrow, and there are a few that are tricking me still. If all my guesses are right I have 12 cockerels and 8 pullets, but some are iffy.

1: ^^ This one has been tricking me for a while. I was edging on pullet though, for the past couple weeks, but suddenly it's wattles came in and turned pretty red. I'm guessing it's a cockerel now, but since it's 9 weeks old, is there a chance it's still a pullet? I love the crest on this one, and I was really hoping for it to be a pullet. :/

2: ^^ This one I've been thinking was a pullet for a long time now. She acts completely like a pullet, extremely skittish and she's smaller than the cockerels, but that comb is looking pretty red. I still have hope it's a pullet. What do you guys think?

3: ^^ Pretty sure this one's a pullet. Her comb is more pink than the picture shows, that's the only reason I have some doubt. Aren't her muffs adorable!!

There are also a couple other chicks that I think are pullets. I tried to get some pictures but they are moving 24/7, sighs. One is quite small and acts like a pullet, small pale comb, but their wattles have quite a bit of red in them. Is it normal for 9 week old pullets to start getting some pink in their combs and wattles?

Also, I can't help but show you one of my cockerels! We've chosen him to be our new rooster, since he is so well behaved, and also sooo handsome!!

I think 1 and 2 are cockerels and the third is a pullet. Your rooster is very pretty!
