Update on the fighting problem: gave the two birds some cooling off time -- most of yesterday; things seemed to be better initially: the aggressor was chasing the other bird (vs head to head fighting and pecking). Kept them apart overnight, and today we are back to square one. The aggressor just cannot help himself; he has to go after the other bird and attack him/her.

Tomorrow a.m. we will find a new home for the aggressor, let the other bird stay here until he gets a bit more healed up, then move him along, but nowhere near the aggressor. I have a soft spot in my heart for both birds, but I cannot let the smaller of the two continue to get beat up and injured.

Well sometimes you just have to do what you have to do and hopefully you'll be able to find good homes for them miles apart. Keep up the great work you are doing and let us hear how it's going.
