She is sunbathing. Sometimes they will combine it with dust bathing. She's doing it because it feels good to do so.

Welcome to BYC! X4. You might want to consider getting a flat box and putting wood ash in it for them to bath in. I have one for my chickens and they love it, and it works great to help prevent them from getting lice and other parasites. Good luck with your flock.
