911 hatching issue

I missed the egg a few minutes ago. It's making some progress.

That's good!

Sometimes the chick will take a break (probably a nap), then start working again.

If it's making progress on its own, then I'd wait. I know it can be a hard wait, been there for sure.

I figure that if i wait until about 10:30 tonight when DH gets off work, it will be over 30 hours since pip.

Sounds like it is making good progress. A chick that pips on the wrong end is not always ready to hatch immediately. Pipping on the wrong end is like internally and externally pipping at the same time, so hatch time can be the same as from the time of an internal pip.

Rocky is free. Poor baby was dry. Spritzer it with water and the chick erupted from its shell. Rocky is camera shy. Pics to follow.
