Lillian walked into the castle, she went to tell the King about Author's new dragon. She decided not to tell the King about the baby dragons that she, Benjamin and Nicole had hatched out. When she reached the royal study, Lillian knocked on the door, then she walked in. "My King, I have some news for you." She said, looking at the King, who was still writing his letters. "Author, the young boy you told to find a dragon, now has a dragon and has begun training for the races." She watched the King nod, then she left the study, shutting the door quietly. She sighed as she walked to the kitchen, the King was definitely a scary person.

Pewi bounced around in the stables, she glanced at Skiw and growled playfully. She tackled Skiw and pinned him to the ground, she opened her wings and growled again. Pewi chirped, she loved play-fighting.

King Eric Arcei continued to write his letters, the thick black ink stained the yellow paper. He sealed each letter with red wax once he had finished writing it. Gera roared, she hadn't eaten all day, she wanted to hunt. She tried to open her wings, they hit the roof of the cage, she sighed heavily.

Shannon and Fleck raced around the Dragon Nest. Shannon glanced back and Addy and Erin. Fleck looked ahead as he soared through the sky, the wind blew at his face.

Derla stepped back, allowing Author to pass. "Good girl, Derla." Benjamin said, hugging Derla. A heavy wind blew through the trees, making the leaves rustle.

Wren snored away, his tail twiched as he dreamed about chasing fish in the lake. Alexander laid back on Wren, he glanced at Amy and Rigs. "Hm, why?" He asked Amy. He looked up at the fading sun, he knew it would be night time soon.

Frederick sighed, he knew Avie was a better judge of character than he was. If Avie liked Scarlett and Silk, then they must be alright. Although he disliked the royals, Frederick could tolerate them for Avie's sake. "Do you and your dragon want to join us? We're flying to the village for supplies." Frederick asked Scarlett as kindly as he could. Avie nudged Frederick and chirped quietly. Frederick smiled and petted Avie.

Author just stared at Darla, making mental notes.

King Arcei began to write a letter to every rider participating in the Aerial Races, they read:

Dear Rider,
I, King Arcei, summon you to the Dragon Nest at 5pm this evening. You will be reminded of the rules, the route and anything concerning the races. Feel free to bring along your dragon, as it may prove useful to you during the briefing. As for food and water, both will be provided along with a health check for both you and your dragon. This year, I, and my family, will personally be attending this meeting, so I expect perfect behaviour from everyone.
If you do not attend, your family and your dragon will be killed by the royal guards.

He also wrote letters to all members of the royal family, they read:

Dear Family,
I expect you to join me at the Dragon Nest at 5pm for the annual Aerial Races briefing. If possible, bring your dragon along. If you fail to show, the consiquences will be unfathomable.

King Arcei rolled up the letters and had the maids tie each one of them to one of many ravens that had been trained to deliver letters to the riders and royals of Wivvera. After the maids had tied all of the letters to ravens, King Arcei let the corvids out of their small aviary. They spread their huge, black wings and headed towards their selected rider, crowing loudly as they flew ever closer.

Shannon heard the loud crows of the ravens, she looked up, the sky was filled with large, black corvids. Fleck landed on the ground, Shannon jumped off of his back. One of the ravens flew towards her and Fleck, Shannon held her arm out. The raven landed on her arm, Shannon took the letter that had been tied to it's leg, the raven flew away, heading back to the castle. Shannon read the letter and sighed, she knew the Aerial Races would be starting soon. (FlyingDoughnut. Addy and Erin.)

Ravens flew into stables, spooking some of the dragons. Avie hid behind Frederick, she started shaking. Frederick placed his hand on Avie's head to calm her down, he held his other arm out and a large raven landed on his arm. He cautiously took the letter and the raven flew out of the stables. Frederick read the letter out loud. Although Avie didn't understand, she knew the letter was about the races. (ColorParakeet. Scarlett and Silk.)

"Hm, why not?" Alexander asked. Wren awoke, he heard the incoming ravens. Alexander looked up, it was just like last year, the ravens were here to deliver letters about the races. Alexander held his arm out, a small raven with a slightly broken beak landed on his arm. It waited for Alexander to take the letter, then it returned to the castle. Alexander glanced at Amy, then he read the letter. (Americano Blue. Amy and Rigs.)

A raven swooped down and landed on a branch in front of Benjamin and Author. Derla growled, she knew what this meant. "I think it's for you..." Benjamin said to Author. Derla sat down, her teeth still bared, she really didn't like the ravens. Benjamin put his hand on Derla's head. Another raven landed on Derla, she spun around to bite it, it took off and landed on Benjamin's arm. Benjamin read the royal letter and sighed. (Americano Blue. Author.) (Oh, Blue. What dragon does Author have? Was it Bell or Peter? )

Lillian had found some meat, it was similar to beef, she took it to the King's stables. On her way there, she saw the huge corvids pass. She sighed, knowing that the races would continue for yet another year.

Pewi yawned again, she laid down and waited for Lillian to return. Pewi glanced at Skiw, she grumbled and folded up her wings. (FlyingDoughnut. Skiw.)

It was getting darker and darker, 5pm was almost upon them. The riders and royals have little time to change into formal wear, then fly to the Dragon Nest.
