96 Eggs Set This Morning- Incubation Thread *WE'RE ON DAY 21*

Two chicks now! One very active, one sleeping on other eggs (but they haven't pipped, yet).

I have 6 more pips! 5 EE's, 1 BO.

Update... One of the EE's just pipped again. I think that it might start zipping soon. I hope to wake up to a lot of chicks tomorrow, if I even sleep!

Man you are KILLING ME!! Why aren't they hatching?!

I shouldn't say that.. I haven't been in there for like 2 hours.. it seems to be a different story when I stay away. For all I know there are 5 of them flopping around in there.. LOL

The third EE is taking a while zipping. All of my heavy breeds aren't doing anything, except the one pipped BO. I hope that they start pipping tonight or tomorrow morning. I expected this hatch to be delayed, especially for these guys.

I have the two fully hatched EE's in the other incubator, drying and fluffing up. It has no humidity (well, there's no such thing as NO humidity in GA, so it's about 20%), and paper towels covering the wire. I can't find the rest of my shelf liner.

My two chicks are fluffing up. In about an hour, I will go back out and put them in the brooder. I have another pip from an EE, and I think that I have one from a BBS Orp, but not sure. It's very small. I am waiting for a Rhodel or Delaware to pip! I also took out the Silkie eggs, when I took the hatched chicks out. I've known that they weren't developing, and candled horribly, but I had hope, LOL.

I just have to have the other bator for fluffing, it is a great idea. When I open the main one, my humidity (which is too high) drops down. And, it keeps it less humid when there are less chicks. Everytime a chick or two have fully hatched, I will put them in the bator for fluffing. Then, they will all go live in the rubbermaid tote brooders, and when they're all eating, drinking, dry, fluffed and pooping, they will go into their big brooder.

My first chick was sticky. I had to pull the top of the egg from it.

Just realized something, I am so dumb! Today is day 20, just double-checked on my calendar! I must be insane! Seriously? Am I right? It's day 20, right? Woops, went into lockdown a day early!

The first BO to pip is now zipping, along with the EE.

Now, I have two chicks out, 2 zipping, and 6 pips. I have EE, BBS Orp and BO pips. Tomorrow should be great, I hope!

I am probably updating this too much. Ah well.

Latest Hatch Report:

Pipped:

-8 EE
-2 or 3 BO, not sure
-1 mystery egg, not sure... either BO or BR, maybe BBS Orp

Zipping:

-1 EE
-1 BO

Hatched:
-2 EE, currently in brooder.

My zipping EE really needs to hurry up! I'm getting worried... Grr!

UPDATE: The EE is back to zippin'! Guess it just took a nap!

UPDATE 2:30 AM: Another EE is zipping, or will be soon. The current zipping EE is about 3/4 done.

UPDATE 3:20 AM: Two more chicks out, both EE's. Two more EE's zipping. The BO may not have actually been zipping, just a large pip. One of the zipping EE's is making progress, the other has zipped some, but not moving around even if I tap the window loudly.
