Dust off your mixing bowls, stock up on flour and warm up your oven! It's time for the baking and gingerbread contest to begin. For the first time, we're combining the gingerbread contest and the holiday baking contest into one. So get busy and bake that cake or cookies, assemble that gingerbread coop...we want to see your entries!
Rules:
1. The entry can be any type of baking - Gingerbread houses or coops, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, donuts, breads, whatever type of baking you enjoy. It can be done from scratch or purchased mixes or kits. The decorations can be home made or store bought. The majority of the entry has to be edible!
2. The theme must be related to chickens, ducks or other fowl.
3. A maximum of two (2) entries per member please!
4. A limit of 2 pictures per entry, with no photoshop editing. Simple cropping is allowed.
5. All BYC rules apply and the contest is open to all BYC members (you don't have to participate in the 2018 New Year's Hatch Along to participate in this contest).
Deadline for Entries:
This contest will close December 31st at midnight (Pacific time).
Prizes:
Winners will be selected by a panel of judges.
1st Place:
A lovely ceramic Rooster Soap Dispenser/Lotion Dispenser for Kitchen or Bathroom Countertops and is donated by @sunflour .
2nd Place:
This wonderful cookbook features over 450 recipes submitted by BYC community members and is donated by @N F C .
3rd Place:
Brownlow Gifts Oven Mitt Kit, "Rise and Shine" donated by @sunflour .
