A Bath?

So, I have another question. Probably a dumb one too. But anyway, I have a baby bobwhite who has been picked on. I applied rooster booster pick no more, and it helped. But now the stuff has stuck on in a hard paste, and I was wondering if I could give him a bath to try to wash it off? Or am I just being crazy and should just leave it to the bird? His friends still pick him a little, but I wonder if the wound is healed now and I just don't know it cuz it's covered with hardened paste? Or maybe his freinds wouldn't peck him if his booty was fluffy like everyone else's? Or again, should I just leave it? This bottle came with zero instructions.

I've never had this issue (I don't have quail yet) but I'd assume so long as it isn't dangerous (for consumption) or catches the other quail's attention, to just let it fall off on its own.

Trying to pull off that seal or 'paint' I think would be like trying to pick off an old scab on your arm. It's best to just let it heal over on its own & keep the moisture retained. If you pick it too early you risk re-infection & slower healing.

Yeah, I would leave it alone. The gunk will fall off eventually. And anything you do to change this chicks appearance could draw more attention to him by the others and they may start picking on him again. So I would let things be. :)

okay, thanks for your advice, although I didn't have a chance to do any thing any way. He was gone this morning.

I guess the stress was to much. He was a runt, only half the size of his siblings. Never was very perky either. Thanks for the advice though, I'll remember it if I'm ever in a situation like this again.

PS. My profile pic is a picture of him.

Isn't rooster booster vitamins you are supposed to dilute in their water? Is there more than one product by that name?
