A Big Thanks!

Thanks to all of you for all your friendly advice . I love this site as everyone is so nice and helpful. Now for another question, does anyone know where I can get some DE that is not too expensive as I looked at a couple sites and the shipping was almost as much as the DE. I live in North central Arkansas. Do you know if TSC or Lowes or Walmart would carry it? My lady at the feed store looked at me like I was crazy when I asked her she had no clue what I was asking for. I only have 9 chicks but lots of dogs and one cat and I heard that they can also use it is that right? How do I give it to the chickies? Thanks

I haven't been convinced that I need to give my chickens DE. I hate giving something that is not natural or proven to work. It's expensive to boot. That being said, some times your feed store can oder it for you if you ask. I don't think you can get food grade DE from Home Depot or Lowe's. Maybe you find a clerk that knows some thing of the animal world!
