A bird haunting...not for faint of heart..

The power of the chickadee! A Cooper's hawk discovered that English house sparrows are tasty little tidbits and has decimated the flock at the beagle club feeder. She is not scared of me and sits about 40 ft up in the ash tree waiting for dinner to arrive. The chickadees flit back and forth to the feeder paying no regard whatsoever to the hawk. I just noticed this today. Scary indeed.

The hawk better watch out! She is going to attack one of the demented Chickadees and it will be all over for the hawk..

I love eating small tasty birds, It is one of my favorite things to do..BUT I would never ever eat a chickadee.

What if their derangement is caused by a virus and spread through their body fluids while cleaning them? I am sure cooking them will kill any virus, but if you have an open cut and a bit of blood gets in it,, well you could become deranged....
