A bird haunting...not for faint of heart..

There was a skunk in my coop today.......

Has my totem found me?????

Enola, your totem has made itself known. The inferences are many.

Today, I cleaned and refilled the solar fountain/bird bath. The entire time two chick-a-dees hung on a firethorn shrub staring at me malevolently. Goldfinches came and went, but not those two of the evil eye.

So since I didn't see any blue jays on the way back to the house, does that mean my totem is protecting me?

If he is, then what the hell is he doing in my coop? I an soooooo confused!

He is not hurting you by being in the coop is he? He is just trying to be close to you, in case you need him and his special talents.

He is protecting you from the unknown. Been having any problems with chickadees?

So far, no chickadee problems.......

Just nosey blue jays, a few at first, but it seems like their numbers are growing. I think they keep moving when I am trying to count them, just to keep me from panicking.

Better to have uncountable numbers of Blue Jays than one chickadee that decides to take up haunting you.

But these jays hang out around the house and just will not leave.

(So far they don't go in the coop.)

I thought maybe everything was back to normal here. I had 3 chickadees on the feeders. 2 nice looking normal ones, and the other one.

The other one looked like death warmed over. It had scraggly feather and that dead glazed look in its eyes. However, it hopped to the tube feeder, which made me think it might have just gotten some bad berries and been hung over. I was wrong!


It then started throwing the seeds out of the tube feeder to the ground in disgust. It appears it wants human flesh to eat and not seeds. I am now worried poopless again.
