A bit heavy hearted today..

yeah. The attachment was, and is, astonishing to me. We started with four and I fell hard for them (and we lost each, over time, to predators. I cried every time and reconsidered this whole thing). We were given replacements when we got down to one, by a kind member of this forum, and raised three more this past spring, for a total of five now. I am crazy (in both senses of the word) for each. I really hope you find yours soon.
Thankyou. On one hand I dread to think where she is, whether a group of cats or some other predator has got her. But on the other she's probably having the time of her life!

You were posting on BYC whilst you were in the bath?!!

Yep, that qualifies as chicken-addicted behaviour!

I've walked everywhere around my street chooking away and no reply. I really hope she comes back before it gets dark. I am keeping an eye on where the gap was too but there is another 12 meters of chicken fence for her to walk so spotting her won't be a problem.

Just a quick update - She is back, I just went to do a quick check and she was fumbling around outside the fence trying to poke her head through the holes. Normal balance restored!

Yeah I'm always checking on them. I probably spend far too much time with them to be fair. They're so much fun to watch though. Better than t.v!

Kaytee and chickens r us. To put it bluntly. Hell yes! Haha I've been feeling down about it all day. Was so glad to see her back
