Hi guys,
I recently bought 2 pairs of Mandarin ducks for my Pond and also 1 pair of paradise shell ducks.
The shell ducks took ages to start feeding but now seem ok, the Mandarin ducks in the other hand seem to settle pretty quick. I have had them about 6 weeks now but notice one of the Drake's spends a lot of time in the water splashing and bathing. Originally they would all just bath for a short time, splash and preen then done. Now this one duck spends a really long time in the water to the point his head and neck feathers are soaked. Is this normal? Do you think he has parasites?
I am quite worried and not sure how to handle this.
Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

No real answer but posting to keep an eye on this.

One of our girls spends most of the day in the day in the pond - fishing and splashing about. But her feathers stay looking great. Does he get a wet look when it rains too, or just extended time in the pond
