Watch out LD, here is a little up and coming cockerel who wants to duke it out for the Giant Comb Competition.
Check out my 9 week old Blue Andalusian cockerel. He still needs a name.
I guess when you live with the Giant Rooster, and are a small breed, you have to compensate in other ways.
He is a little crowing MACHINE. And not friendly at all. He actually screamed at me today when I grabbed the other cockerel. Since my Jersey Giant roo is sooooo lazy with the girls, I am sort of glad to see a cockerel who is already calling them about danger (er...even if it is me) and trying to protect them from danger (er...me again). He did not come after me, but was staying close and pacing and the screaming and honking when I got extra "scary" was impressive.
