This Bantam Blue Cochin started crowing at 2 months old! I only had him and one other chick, and it was winter, so they couldn't go outside. But his crowing kept me up all night! So they were happily rehomed.
We called him Dino-Chick, cuz he sounded like a baby dinosaur when he crowed.
As promised here are pics of my Sumatras that will win
.
Name: Frankie Sumatra (it's a joke
but that is his name)
Age: almost 6 months
Fun Facts or Stories: he refuses to roost in the coop at night, he'd rather freeze outside and risk getting eaten by an owl in the branches of a tree
him a little younger on my lap reading BYC
(his tail needs to grow in better) (one of his parents was blue so he counts
)
Name: none yet I can't tell her apart from the other blue pullet
Age: same as Frankie 6 months
Fun Facts or Stories: this might not be her but she is the only sumatra I have that likes the coop (that might be the other one though)
I will post some pictures latter. Someone on this board had a beautiful Blue Orph rooster, I am surprised his picture isnt here. I loved the Delaware hens and several of the OEGB were outstanding as well as the Americuna and true Aracunas. I have must admit I have a special liking for the blue coloring as well. Yep Suede thats him
7 month old Blue Silkie Cockerl , I like his body conformation, he has a bad comb
7 month old Blue Silkie Cockerl, brood mate to the one above
7 month old Blue Silkie pullet brood mate to the one above
4 month old New Jersey Giant (these free range in a large pen and did not want to be photographed today.
I finally got some blues yesterday, though they're pretty teeny. My flash flashes too brightly to get a really great close-up, but here's one of my new babies...
