A breed and gender guess?

I mean.. I'm pretty sure this kid is a muscovy, but.
S/he came to us after an animal killed her flockmates and her owners were unsure what to do for her. 8 puncture wounds and a very sore neck.
Day 3 with us, and she's doing really well. Extending her neck a little more.
So far, we were told she's 8 weeks and also "almost grown".
They also said she's a magpie.
This is Cushion (as in pincushion) post bath.

I have no idea on breed or gender, but I applaud you for taking her in and taking care of her. Best wishes for her recovery!

I like the way you've taken her trauma and used it for her name -- like a badge of honor that she survived.

Oops! Just realized I assigned your duck a gender -- most of mine are girls, so I guess I projected a bit, calling Cushion "she." @Miss Lydia has the right idea; tail feathers tell the tale, so to speak.
