A British cat & his Orpingtons

Welcome!
I have one English Orpington roo (black mottled), he is just the sweetest bird! Aren't they the best?!

I'm glad to see someone so focused on breeding for quality feathering in Lavenders, it's a real problem. I see how lovely Lavender looks in my Ameraucana, but I couldn't bring myself keep any of the shreddy Lavender English Orpingtons from the breeder of my roo.

Thank you!! I'll definitely check out that subforum. I'm trying to learn about Orpington genetics so I can understand better which birds I should keep, and google isn't giving me a straight answer.

There's a few genes at play for the crele and Isabel and I'm a little daunted but doing my best!

Admittedly I'm struggling with the shredded feather gene, I cross back to black but it keeps popping up. It's a tough one to get rid of.
