I am in need of some information regarding my little Khaki (Phoebe) who is brooding on 3 eggs. Since I am new at this I don't know if she is going to help the duckling out of the shell or am I suppose to help in some way. Or does the little guy do it all on his own.
Any advise would be really appreciated. Mary Ann 🦆

I helped with one of my Runners eggs, but it’s incredibly stressful for the mom. It’s more of a personal choice, however if all goes well you won’t have to help

I have a new problem i desperately need help with. I have 2 female and 1 male rouen. Phoebe now has 3 ducklings. I tried to introduce them to everyone , 2 times and both times he has gone after the ducklings, nastily. Is there a time when he will accept them and not try to kill them or do I have to rehome him? Please help

drakes can be aggresive to ducklings and you shouldn't put them together until they are older

I would start with separating them asap ! If you can, do it so they can still see each other.

I wouldnt jump too far forward about what you might have to do with your drake. Things may well settle down once mating crazy has passed.

Congrats on the ducklings !
Thank you so much for your info. I have had them separated all of this time and they have been able to see each other. The ducklings are only a week old. Can you tell me when the mating crazy time finally ends? He really is a good duck and I pray I don't have to let him go. I will take your advise and give it time. Thanks again, Mary Ann

Thank you for your advise and getting back to me so quickly, How old would you say they should be , before I try this again? He is normally very nice and not aggressive until the babies showed up. Thanks again.

im not much help, but good luck! seems the advice on these matters is usually the same, give them time they will work it out, my bunch seems to have, but I spend a week pulling my hair out...and there's not much to pull!
