Thank you so much for your info. I have had them separated all of this time and they have been able to see each other. The ducklings are only a week old. Can you tell me when the mating crazy time finally ends? He really is a good duck and I pray I don't have to let him go. I will take your advise and give it time. Thanks again, Mary Ann

Good work on seperating them ! I would aim for late Summer / early Autumn for the crazy to settle.

Your ducklings should be a good size with their adult feathers coming through then as well so Mum won't be as interested and they won't be in the way of her Big Love Story with your drake !

It must have been upsetting but dont let this distract you from enjoying all of your ducks - watching the ducklings grow and develop is a magical time. X

I must admit they are fun to watch and today they jumped into their pool and swam around, so precious. I was afraid they wouldn't be able to get out but sure enough they were amazing.

What a lovely picture - everyone looks very settled. Enjoy every day - it races past and they grow like weeds !
