a broody duck

I have a broody duck, so I went and bought fertile eggs for her to lay on. I put them in her nest, she has covered them up with straw and is laying either beside them or in front of them but not on them. This is my first time with this whole thing and I don't know if that is normal. The duck is a Indian Runner and my eggs are Muscovy eggs. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

If the duck is still laying eggs then she is not broody.

She is still laying so she is not setting eggs yet and might never become Broody enough to begin the process to hatch them out..
