A cough or sneeze!

What could cause a chicken to sneeze or cough? One of my frizzle roos I noticed just today with this clear stuff in his mouth and he acted like he either was coughing or sneezing some. What are you ideas about this, should I separate him till I know waht's up? I don't really like doing that just cuz of the stress but if you think I should please share with me your ideas and suggestions. Sure would appreciate them!!

I would separate so your other chickens don't catch it if it is contagious. Sounds like a respiratory infection or CRD. Search this site for both. Some people use Vet RX, it's like Vicks for chickens and some like to use an antibiotic. There is a lot of information here.

Thanks so much!! He isn't doing anything today, maybe he had something in his thoat. I will keep an eye on him the next few days to be sure he's ok!!

describe the droppings..color and consistency..

are the eyes wet?

any wheezing?
