After a tragic event in my yard a little while ago, I've decided in my Rooster, Gandalf's honor, I'm going to hatch some of the eggs. A nearby BYC friend ( Thank you Opa) is going to let me borrow an incubator, and hopefully my first attempt at this doesn't go too wrong.
I haven't done this before so I have a couple of questions....
1) The eggs are fertile, but have been in the fridge. ( the longest is under two weeks) Will they still hatch?
2) How long will the hens eggs be fertile without Gandalf around? A couple weeks? a month?
I'm kind of nervous about hatching eggs.
And to Gandalf......RIP big guy. You were a great Roo. You'll be missed big guy. I'm so sorry.
