a crowing hen or is it really a rooster?

My neighbor just heard a crow this morning from her sweetest chick of them all. she/he has a small comb but it is VERY red. the chick is 2 mos old. none of the roosters that they are sure look like roosters are crowing LOL! but this one who they thought was female with an affectionate name of "mama margaret".. and a crow from her/him. could this be a crowing hen? or do you think its for sure a rooster?

its too bad because they have to get rid of all roosters and this was their favorite chicken of all... sniff. I'm in the same boat as well. my fave is most likely a rooster... grrr!
