A cute cockerel in Brooklyn

This is actually a bit difficult for me, because I have grown quite fond of the little guy tbh. A friend found him abandoned at a Brooklyn cemetery, I'm not 100% sure on the breed but if I had to guess it's the German Bielefelder Kennhuhn. he has such a good temper (usually...) and he's so quiet never crows outside, just keeps on producing the cutest sounds almost like purring. Unfortunately, roosters are illegal here so I'm looking for a new home where he can LIVE freely and happily.

He's gorgeous! Maybe try contacting one of the dog rescues to see if anyone can take him. They sometimes know people who live outside of the city.
