~A Danger Among Us~ Dhole RP

Quote: Tiger glanced at them for a brief moment, trying to hide herself in the shadows.

Zach whipped around and headed back to camp.

Griffin had bellied out of his den was standing beside a tree. A bitter growl came from his jaws when his fiery gaze fell on Tiger. With muscles as smooth as the river and as powerful as the thunder, he looked quite intimidating as he approached.

Tiger calmly watched him approach, maintaining her crouching position.

Griffin lowered his eyes as he approached Tiger. He was the largest dhole in the pack, broad across the chest and taller by an ear than any other Fire pack member. He hesitated. Then he bent over her and opened his great jaws. "What happened to you?" He whispered.

Tiger looked up for a split second, her eyes meeting his. For that short time, the ashes of the past seemed to whirl around in her eyes. Then she closed them and turned away, in shame.

Griffin's piercing eyes remained locked on Tiger; for many his hard, unreadable gaze is uncomfortable. Two points of jet-black set in little pools of dark brown can have a surprising affect.

Tiger, after a long moment's thought, rotated her head to study his face. She was so used to this 'glare', that she barely noticed it. "Long ago," she began,"I lived in a pack. It doesn't exist any longer. It was partially my fault. I was the beta, and I had too much pride and power over the pack. Our leader was weak, so that pretty much left me in charge. One summer's day, we discovered that we were running out of water. Our leader told us to dig. But I thought otherwise. A pack close to us had had water on their land. So I marched my pack into battle, but they were tired and thirsty. Few survived. The pack was broken and shattered. Our leader was murdered soon afterwards. And so I ran away here." Once finished, Tiger stood, padding a short distance away from him.

Griffin's eyes flashed and he swiveled his jaws toward Spirit. "I was asking her a question," he snarled, slicing at the air with his yellowing teeth.

Tiger slipped away, sprinting out of camp. The area around her neck was somewhat bloody and the fur was matted from the bite earlier.

Bruno was growling playfully and, placing both his front legs on Aiden's back, forced him to the ground. His eyes danced with triumph, and reluctantly, he released him. Aiden scrambled to his paws and shook his pelt.

Spirit put her head down low, then she began to become upset. "This is what I was talking about!" She snarled. "This is why I ran off! You don't need to yell at me!" she growled, showing the whites of her eyes.

Griffin gnashed his teeth, frustration trickling into his veins. "I didn't yell," he lowered his voice, a growl rumbling deep in his chest.

Aiden stared innocently at Tiger, confusion stirred in his eyes. Shoving Bruno aside with his hip, he jogged up to her.
