Well, we got ourselves psyched up to do the job, handed out assignments to all family members, got a good night's sleep .. . . and were rained out.
So, DH and I celebrated 17 years of wedded bliss not by butchering, but by picking up more feed and buying flowers for the many gardens we have around here.
The really great news is that the next batch of chicks is coming not on 5-29, as we were told earlier, but on 6-5. Thank goodness!
