A desire for chickens in my back yard

Just saying hello. I don't have any chickens, I do have a dog and 6 kids. I enjoy reading, working out. I'm researching the idea of fresh eggs in my back yard. Going to take it slow, I live in Lancaster, CA. My wife, the intelligent, sophisticated, executive wonders who wants chickens in the back yard ? "Well I do"

You could try to make it seem like her idea....that's what I did with mine, now she's straight into it.

have her look at some breeds with you. she will be amaized at how pretty some chickens are. She may be thinking of big white chickens running around the yard. there are also tons of bantan chickens if she doesnt want large birds!!!!
