A duck egg question

I am getting 3 hens tues. If I find an egg out in the yard, how can I tell if it is fertile?

You need a drake for them to be fertile, are they with one now?

Well that part I know.

I have 3 drakes and that is why I needed 3 hens. They will be just a few days old when I get them so they will be in the house for a few weeks. These I came going to handle so they will still love me. The boys only come to me when they want food. They actually come to the front porch.

I think you'll just have to incubate them to see if the males are doing their job. No other way really.

Okie fine. I had a female once before but she would just leave them. I will tell my hubby we need to build a small incubator. Since they will only be a few days old we have plenty of time. I can't wait. It has been 4 years since I had baby ducks.
