I recently saw the story of Randy Z (I do not know the last name, but he is a member of this Forum) who was charged and found guilty of keeping chickens against his city's ordinance. This story touched me because he keeps them in the hometown of my husband. I think that everyone who wants should be allowed to garden, farm, keep chickens, etc.under the protection of the Right to Farm Act. This man was really given a very raw deal because now he has large fines and probation costs, etc. all because he needed to find a way to make money and survive. So, I am asking that you do what i did this morning, protect your rights, and his by calling Snyder at 517-335-7858. if we flood his office with calls, asking why this was allowed to happen and what we can do to make sure our rights as citizens of Michigan are upheld, they must listen, they will then have to look at Garden City and vindicate Randy of all charges! Please, help! I just think that if we continue to allow for things like this to go on and do nothing worse is in store for us!
