A few Duck questions

HI,

Are there any concerns or problems with raising ducks with chickens (fighting?)?
I've read the ducks and geese are very hardy and disease resistant(unlike turkey). I feed my chickens a high protein non-medicated diet so I don't think that would be an issue.

I wanted to raise a couple turkey, but it sounds like they have huge disease problems being around chickens are I can not isolate them.

One last question, Do Ducks get very noisy if you just raise them to meat weight and butcher (i.e. the hatchery says 9 weeks for ducks).

You usually dont have a fighting problem with ducks and chickens.

If your worried about noise, male ducksare much quieter than females.

My chickens are afriad of the ducks and the ducks just kind of do there own thing. I think the chicken just don't like to get splashed by the water the ducks throw around.

My ducks are not very loud at all. Males are always quieter.
