A Few Good Ducks

We'd like to get a few good ducks for our Maryland farm. We have one Crested Pekin drake that is one year old. We'd like to find something close to Frederick. Any ideas?

I would suggest if you want to get a mate for your Pekin - dont get another crested duck- or one that carries the crested gene. A double dose of the crested gene is fatal to a growing embryo. But apart from that...Im sure your drake would apprciate the company of any other duck.

Thanks. My ignorance is showing. I had no idea. Now I understand why it didn't work with another crested. Live and learn!
