well the plan is to try to keep growing in numbers without losing quality of life!
I think the Pekins will get 4.5 months of a great life then become good organic food- the runners will lay until they slow down to a point where we need to replace them...

Well the Pekins are decent layers too. You could use them for both eggs and meat. The ducks you have now would not make much meat but lots of eggs. Do you plan to keep the Pekins separate for breeding? Do you have a good incubator? None of the ducks you have are particularly good mothers and you will probably need to incubate for offspring.

th goal is to keep 2 distinct breeds and hone the genes 1 for eggs the other for meat- selective breeding an hand raised open range ducks...
