As others have pointed out, it is not always apparent which part of the forum a post belongs to when browsing. I believe it is good "nettiquette" to post a warning if your post displays pics which can be considered graphic to some.

Having said that, I like your setup and may steal a few of your ideas for future reference.

I'm eating my breakfast, oatmeal, when I opened this thread.

Doesn't bother me a bit. I wanted to ask, when are chickens old enough to eat? I have four roos that are approx 13-16 weeks. Black Australorps, and Buff Orps. Can I butcher them yet? I'm hungry.

I go by feel more than time. Check the legs and thighs and breast. You can feel how filled out they are.

We tried asking them if they were ready to go to the chopping block but they wouldn't tell us.
